La Parra - Bakio

La Parra was an amazing little discovery for us in the small town of Bakio. The owner/manager of this little establishment is married to an Australian lass so has a great mix of Spanish cross Australian menu and DRINKS! I haven't had a Coopers Ale in well over a year to find a bar in Spain serving Coopers for only 2Euro was quite a score for me! Definitely stop here if you are an Australian on your way around Europe, try the pizza's and Pintxos at La Parra its nothing short of amazing. The Manager was super helpful telling us all the good surfing spots to stop at along our way even stocking us up with maps marked with said places. He even went as far to sell us 2 cases of Coopers for cheaper than what we would ever pay in Australia! Legend!
We camped out in a car park in Bakio for 3 days, we only had to pay for our parking spot during the day then at night we had a free place to stay in the campervan.
Due to Spains government being broke there is virtually no police passing through here, and any that do finish work by 10pm making the place very relaxed with their rules and regulations.
We had grand plans to see some sites around Bakio but after nights at La Parra, sleeping on the beach and eating pizza always seemed like a better idea...

Mornings after in Bakio were often hard times all round, Lakey doing it tough.
